  • Adjust meals when appropriate for customers with dietary requirements
  • Check that ingredients are fresh, good quality and stored properly
  • Keep an eye on stock levels, help with ordering supplies and practise good stock rotation and waste reduction
  • Keep the kitchen clean and well organised
  • Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
  • Stay quick and efficient during busy, time-sensitive services
  • Communicate clearly with fellow chefs and the kitchen team, and share practical ideas for new dishes and menu improvements
  • Help the kitchen run smoothly in a venue that trades seven days a week

  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
  • Understanding of stock management and waste minimisation
  • Able to work on your own and also contribute well as part of a team
  • A positive and reliable attitude towards your work responsibilities
  • Willing to work day, evening and weekend shifts
