Calling skilled cooks! A hospitality employer in the Australian Capital Territory has openings for 2 Chefs/Cooks who can prove their qualifications, hands-on experience and kitchen skills.
You will be part of a small, experienced team serving European and modern Australian cuisine to a consistently high standard. Expect to be busy and hands-on, moving across kitchen operations and confidently running your own section during service.

Key Responsibilities
- Run your assigned kitchen section confidently during service
- Cook and prepare European and modern Australian dishes to a high standard
- Get daily food prep done quickly and accurately, following the set recipes, methods and kitchen standards
- Keep presentation, portion sizes and food quality consistent
- Be a team player in a four-person kitchen crew and help other sections when needed
- Help keep the kitchen running smoothly when service gets busy
- Watch stock and ingredient use to cut down on food waste
- Keep up food hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety
- Work evening, weekend and split-shift services efficiently
- Show dependable, hands-on performance in a professional kitchen
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher (a relevant trade qualification in Commercial Cookery)
- Minimum 2 years of professional cooking experience in modern Australian or European cuisine
- Proven background in a fine-dining or quality-focused commercial kitchen
- Chef de Partie or section-level experience is highly regarded
- Well-rounded cooking and food preparation skills
- Able to manage an allocated kitchen section independently
- A proven ability to keep food quality high while controlling wastage
- Good grasp of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
- Comfortable working in a small professional kitchen team and available for evening, weekend and split-shift rosters
- Your qualifications and employment history must be genuine and verifiable
- Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate
