Kabayan, if you have spent years on a busy hot line, this one is worth a look. A country hotel pub in New South Wales is searching for a Senior Cook / Chef who knows the pan, grill and cold larder sections well.
You will be the Head Chef's right hand and a steady guide for the junior cooks on shift. It is a full-time role, with work spread over days, nights and weekends. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate. Applicants need to be already living in Australia and ready to come in for a trial.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to the menu guidelines and recipes
- Serve every plate the way the Head Chef wants it
- Watch over stock levels
- Keep kitchen waste as low as you can
- Demonstrate cooking techniques and give junior staff advice on procedures
- Lead the kitchen attendants and apprentices working your shift
- Keep the kitchen and storage areas clean and hygienic, in line with food safety laws
- Help receive and check deliveries for quality and make sure they are stored correctly
- Prepare food for guests with special dietary requirements and help with menu planning
- Follow food handling and safety procedures and report any incident to the Head Chef
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience working pan and grill sections
- Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery, together with a skills assessment for cook or chef
- Living in Australia and able to come in for a trial
- Flexible and free to work days, nights and weekends
- Strong team player with strong communication skills
