Kabayan, if you have led a busy bar or restaurant floor, this Duty Manager opening in New Zealand could be your next step. A hospitality business runs a hotel with a beer garden and a restaurant in a seaside town near Christchurch, and it is looking for a permanent, full-time manager for both.
Your days will be varied and fast. You will report to the Venue Manager and GM, oversee daily operations, guide the front-of-house teams and take care of staff and bookings so everything flows. Just as important, you will keep both venues in line with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and their licensing rules while making guests and co-workers feel welcome and safe. This can be a sponsorship role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee everyday operations at the hotel and restaurant
- Ensure the venues follow the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and all licensing requirements
- Guide front-of-house teams, manage staff and bookings, and keep service running smoothly with excellent customer care
- Make both venues warm, safe and professional for guests and co-workers
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current NZ Duty Manager Certificate (LCQ + Manager's Certificate), or willing to obtain
- Experience in hospitality management or supervision
- Great communication and leadership skills
- Great problem-solving skills
- A strong understanding of host responsibility and alcohol compliance
- A positive and proactive attitude, especially when under pressure
