Kabayan, if you have spent years making weddings and big functions run smoothly, this Canberra opening could be your next chapter. A much-loved venue there, known for elegant high tea as well as weddings and corporate events, is looking for a Restaurant Manager.
You would not be managing one corner of the business. The person hired takes full charge of how the venue operates, guiding the front-of-house staff, keeping service warm and polished, and working side by side with the General Manager, the events team and the kitchen. The venue belongs to an established hospitality and events group with sites in Sydney and Canberra.
Most of the work happens on nights and weekends. Good news for applicants abroad, sponsorship is available.

Key Responsibilities
- Look after the daily running of high tea, weddings, corporate functions and private events
- Guide the front-of-house staff through rostering, training and development
- Work hand in hand with the General Manager, events and kitchen so each event goes well
- Keep service and venue presentation at a high level, and respond to guest feedback with care
- Increase revenue and keep costs controlled
- Manage compliance, including WHS and RSA
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as a Restaurant, Venue or Events Manager in premium hospitality
- A warm, approachable personality that puts guests and the team at ease, together with the confidence of a hands-on leader who takes full ownership of operations
- Excellent English, spoken and written
- Strong organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail
- Willing to work nights and weekends, including every weekend, public holidays and peak event periods
