If you have been cooking in a café or restaurant kitchen and feel ready for your next step, this permanent full-time Chef role in Hamilton, New Zealand could suit you. The café is an accredited employer, which lets it sponsor workers through the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).
You will join the kitchen team and help serve good food across the café, its functions and its catering jobs. Each day brings prep, cooking and putting the menu on the plate, always with care for quality, presentation and hygiene.
The kitchen keeps busy with many kinds of guests: regular café diners, group bookings, tour groups and special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, high teas and Christmas parties. If you enjoy variety and can work both on your own and with others, this kitchen gives you plenty of both.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum of 12 months' previous experience as a Chef in a café, restaurant or commercial kitchen
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking and presentation
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene, plus kitchen procedures
- Able to manage your time effectively and stay steady under pressure in busy service periods
- Strong organisational skills and able to work independently or as part of a team, with a positive attitude, reliability and pride in delivering quality food
