A well-known bakery in a growing coastal town is building up its bread side. You would work with the Bread Team Leader and the Production Manager, learning from both and adding to your skills as your baking career grows.
The hours are 2am to 12pm from Monday to Thursday, so 4 days and 38 hours a week, with overtime added when necessary and Saturday and Sunday off. The bakery says sponsorship is available for the right person.

Key Responsibilities
- Mix white doughs for the daily bread
- Shape the sourdough
- Bake sourdough in the three level bread oven
- Roll puff pastry
- Keep stock under control
- Use what you know about fermentation when working sourdough
- Do the same with croissant dough fermentation
Requirements & Eligibility
- A demonstrated love of making quality products for the cabinet
- Experience working with a team and excellent communication skills
- Background in preparation, service and kitchen management
- Previous experience in volume bakeries
- Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking, or the equivalent
- HACCP experience is desirable, and food hygiene matters a lot here
- Hands-on experience operating a commercial bread oven
- A positive attitude, energy at work and the ability to adapt
- Ready to work very early
