An Australian-owned infrastructure contractor is hiring a Telecommunications Field Engineer to lead integration and acceptance on projects for carriers and prime contractors around the country.
You would handle RF and Tx integration on greenfield builds and brownfield co-locations, using your rigging tickets and your understanding of structures as well. The company also delivers rigging, civil construction and structure upgrades or decommissioning through two director-led teams, and the role means travel to remote and metro sites.
It is a full-time, direct-hire position (not labour hire) under ANZSCO 313212. The business is approved as a Standard Business Sponsor under Subclass 482 (Skills in Demand), which means qualified overseas applicants holding eligible visas may be considered, though Australians are given priority.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle RF and Tx integration from start to commissioning on brownfield co-locations and greenfield builds, ending with carrier acceptance
- Install antennas, outdoor cabinets and microwave dishes, plus RUs and feeders, and commission them
- Give the rigging crew support on structural work like face frames, extensions and upgrades when needed
- Prepare acceptance packs that meet each carrier's standard
- Follow the HSE system of the company or client (exclusion zones, rescue plans, SWMS, permits) and mobilise to metro and remote sites around Australia
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as a telco Field Engineer
- Background in RF and Tx integration, commissioning and carrier acceptance packs
- Rigging ticket, Advanced or Intermediate
- EWP, Working at Heights and First Aid, all current
- Steelwork on telco towers (structural)
- Open to remote-site travel and mobilising at short notice
- Open QLD driver's licence; MR/HR and other tickets an advantage
