Each shift you would assess residents, watch their vital signs and handle medications and treatments, while also directing graduate RNs, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and Personal Care Workers. Part of the role is reviewing staff performance and helping team members develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out resident health assessments and monitor vital signs
- Give medications and manage treatments
- Develop individual care plans for each resident and put them into practice
- Provide nursing care that follows the care plan and current evidence, in partnership with residents and the care team
- Supervise and direct graduate RNs, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and Personal Care Workers
- Lead the team in delivering the highest standards of care
- Handle staff performance, including regular reviews and support for each person's growth
- Coordinate with clinical staff, residents, families, allied health professionals, GPs and external organisations
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor of Nursing, held together with current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Aged care experience, up-to-date professional and ethical practice in aged care and infection control in keeping with legal and AHPRA requirements and the Nurses Code of Conduct, and readiness to complete ongoing mandatory training
