Project Analyst

Visa sponsorship

Construction · Perth, WA, Australia · Contract · Discussed at interview · Visa: Employer sponsored

Kabayan, if you love spreadsheets as much as site work, this one deserves a look. A piling contractor is hiring a Project Analyst (technical site administrator) in Perth, WA, Australia, to join its team on site for a major solar construction project.

The job centres on analysing construction data, reconciling quantities, maintaining systems and strengthening reporting, productivity and efficiency, so it asks for more than everyday admin. A background in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Solar QA or a related discipline suits it, and the employer may consider sponsoring the right candidate.

Many of us have years of solid work behind us that never makes it onto paper. Before you apply, update your CV so it shows the data side of your experience, such as weekly reports, trackers you maintained and any QA or engineering background. A simple way to start is to put your CV together with Build AI CV.

Key Responsibilities

  • Put together the daily and weekly production, timesheet and plant reports, and keep reporting dashboards and AppSheet trackers updated.
  • Dig into productivity and project performance data to find trends, gaps in the data and room for improvement.
  • Reconcile quantities across piling, trackers and modules.
  • Keep registers in order, from survey, pile testing and tolerance to deliveries and QA, together with ITPs, ITCs, ITRs and punch lists.
  • Plan materials and the laydown area, and support process improvement and the optimisation of project and site systems.
  • Work with project teams, the client and the principal contractor on reports and documentation.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Desirable: studies or work experience in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills and the confidence to handle large or complex data sets.
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data validation, plus VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP).
  • Real interest in improving processes, productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Can follow workflows and see how systems and processes could work better.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving ability.
  • Learns new systems quickly.
  • Comfortable working autonomously on a remote site.
  • Any experience with Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, AppSheet, Primavera P6 or Employment Hero is advantageous; a background in solar construction, manufacturing, logistics, operations or other project-based environments is highly regarded too.
