Are you a MIG Welder who can do more than weld? A busy trailer manufacturer is offering a permanent, full-time position to an experienced tradesperson with real hands-on skills in trailer fitting, assembly and installing mechanical and electrical components.
You will help build trailers from the structural fabrication stage right through to final system checks, so accuracy, consistency and practical problem-solving will matter every step of the way.
If you have been welding and fabricating in the Middle East or back home in the Philippines, this is a good chance to put that experience to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Read drawings, welding specifications and measurements before starting any job
- Use MIG welding on steel trailer frames, chassis and related parts
- Prepare, position and put together fabricated trailer sections
- Fit chassis, suspension, braking and other trailer components, plus accessories and customised trailer features
- Install air, electrical and hydraulic systems when needed
- Handle welding machines, hand tools and measuring equipment the right way
- Check welds, dimensions and the quality of finished assemblies, and test installed systems before the job is signed off
- Point out and report any non-conforming materials, components or workmanship
- Keep workshop practices safe and organised
- Work together with the production team to keep things moving and finish work to the required quality, safety and production standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years of hands-on welding experience
- Previous experience in trailer assembly or trailer manufacturing
- Strong MIG welding skills on steel
- Able to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings, and competent with measuring equipment and workshop tools
- Practical understanding of trailer chassis, suspension and braking components
- Experience with electrical, air or hydraulic trailer systems is advantageous
- Able to show genuine hands-on trade experience
- Strong attention to detail, consistent workmanship and a reliable approach to attendance and production responsibilities
- A safety-conscious attitude in a manufacturing setting
- Welding certification is advantageous but not essential
- Sponsorship available for suitable candidates
