Kabayan, if you have spent years making guests feel at home on a restaurant floor, here is a role that rewards that warmth. A well-loved modern Asian restaurant in central Christchurch, with an aquarium in the dining room, is looking for four experienced waitstaff.
The team here is encouraged to be themselves and have fun, while still giving every table attentive service. You will welcome guests, explain the menu, carry plates, handle payments and keep the room neat.
It is a permanent, full-time job of at least 30 hours each week. Be ready for evening and weekend shifts, plus a busy summer.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a smile and share what is on the menu
- Take orders and serve them to each table
- Clear tables, set them again and help keep the place spotless
- Use the POS for orders and process cash and card payments
- Follow NZ liquor laws and work with managers and guests to meet licensing requirements
- Complete regular in-house training on drinks, food and service, and promote products as the restaurant's policies say
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least six months of experience in a similar role, or a Level 2 or 3 Diploma qualification
- Good knowledge of NZ liquor laws
- Availability on nights and weekends and through the busy summer months, plus the motivation to work hard and learn the restaurant's offerings and service standards
