Storeperson

Are you an experienced Nightshift Storeperson ready for your next move? A busy warehouse and logistics operation in the North Island of New Zealand has a permanent full-time opening, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Along with steady hours, the role comes with ongoing training and development opportunities and employer-provided health insurance. You will help keep the warehouse running smoothly, handle inventory and look after customers, all within a workplace that puts safety first. Employer sponsorship is available for eligible candidates. Forklift and warehouse experience gained in the Philippines, the Middle East or anywhere else is worth mentioning when you apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload and shift goods around the warehouse
- Unload shipping containers and complete devanning work
- Pick and pack orders accurately so customer requirements are met, and get customer orders ready for dispatch within the required timeframes
- Receive and check incoming inventory, then store it correctly
- Handle manual lifting and stock movement tasks around the warehouse
- Keep warehouse administration and inventory paperwork complete
- Offer professional customer service whenever it is needed
- Carry out MPI Accredited Person duties where they apply
- Help keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe, following workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Be a dependable member of the nightshift warehouse team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum one year of experience operating a forklift
- Has driven forklifts of up to 5-tonne capacity
- Reach truck operating experience
- A forklift licence or other relevant certification is preferred
- Using forklift attachments is advantageous but not essential
- Fit enough for the physical side of manual handling duties
- Strong attention to detail
- A real commitment to workplace safety
- Comfortable working on your own and as part of a team
- Dependable and motivated, with the ability to work permanent nightshift hours
- Clear communication and good organisational skills
- Warehouse or logistics experience from a previous role is highly desirable
