Key Responsibilities
- Keep vehicles and machinery in good condition through regular maintenance, servicing and repair, and respond to problems and callouts as they happen
- Work safely with machinery and tools while supervising station staff and training them on daily checks and services
- Keep records of parts used for reordering and stock up on commonly needed parts
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualified in Diesel / Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, with at least 2 years' experience
- Has worked as a mechanic in a similar role and has a heartfelt passion for station life
- Can safely operate diagnostic and test equipment, as well as tools and equipment, efficiently across the company's fleet
- C Class driver's licence (essential)
- Motorcycle licence, HR or MC licence would be an advantage
- Comfortable working independently and with a team in a remote location
- Able to come up with innovative solutions when parts or tools are not readily available
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, good communication and a positive attitude would be an advantage
- Fit for work in high temperatures and high humidity
