Senior Hairdressers

Calling all experienced hairdressers! A growing salon team in New Zealand is looking for 2 Senior Hairdressers to join them.
If you have strong technical skills, feel confident with clients and truly love creating great hair, this could be your next step. You will work across a wide range of cutting, colouring and styling services as part of a supportive, professional team.
Stylists who have built their craft in the Philippines, the Middle East or anywhere else are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Get to know each client, understand what they want for their hair and suggest suitable haircare products and treatments
- Give high-quality ladies’ and children’s haircuts, finished with professional blow waves and styling
- Apply global colour and regrowth colour
- Do foils, highlights and balayage
- Handle toning and colour correction work
- Provide hair treatments and smoothing services
- Keep your technical and service standards high from start to finish of every appointment
- Build warm, professional relationships with your clients and handle your services confidently with little supervision
- Help mentor and develop junior team members, joining demonstrations, workshops and hands-on training where required
- Keep your workspace clean, organised and professional
- Follow salon procedures, hygiene rules and workplace standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised hairdressing qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 or higher
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the industry
- Strong hands-on skills in cutting, colouring, foiling and styling, including balayage, highlights, toning and colour correction
- Confident working on your own in a professional salon
- Strong communication and client consultation skills, together with excellent customer service
- A reliable, professional and committed attitude to work
- Available to work weekends when required
- Beauty therapy skills or previous beauty industry experience is advantageous
- Experience mentoring junior stylists or running practical training is advantageous
- Able to clearly explain which services you can confidently perform, and to disclose any services where additional training or development may be required
- Willing to meet New Zealand employment and visa requirements
- Sponsorship is available for eligible overseas candidates
