Key Responsibilities
- Welcome every client warmly and make each salon visit a professional, pleasant experience
- Hold in-depth consultations to find out exactly what each client wants for their hair
- Cut, colour and style hair and look after the other salon services clients book, all to a professional level
- Produce polished work that is consistent from one appointment to the next
- Suggest suitable hair care, styling and at-home maintenance options
- Fit hair extensions where you have the qualification or experience to do so
- Earn repeat visits by building lasting bonds with clients through quality work and clear, professional communication
- Keep your own station tidy, clean and hygienic
- Stick to salon procedures as well as health and safety requirements
- Present yourself well and uphold the professionalism of the salon
- Work hand in hand with fellow stylists and salon staff, helping keep the salon culture positive and productive
- Keep learning: follow new trends, techniques and industry news, and join training and skills development sessions
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as a Senior Hair Stylist or as an experienced professional hairdresser, backed by a salon work history you can demonstrate
- A relevant hairdressing qualification or recognised industry training
- Strong technical knowledge of modern hairdressing techniques, together with a high level of attention to detail
- Confidence in client consultations and good people skills
- Real dedication to quality work and customer satisfaction
- A genuine love for hairdressing and for continuing to develop your skills
- A professional, reliable and motivated attitude
- Able to work well on your own and as part of a team
- An understanding of salon hygiene, safety and professional standards
- Able to verify your professional identity, qualifications and relevant work history, and willing to take part in the required verification process
- Experience with hair extensions is highly regarded
