If your background is in rail vehicle electrical systems, fleet upgrades and engineering assurance, this could be a great fit. Day to day, you will team up with engineering specialists and project groups to review technical solutions and oversee major modification programs, making sure each stage of delivery meets strict safety, quality and operational standards.
Engineers with rail experience from the Philippines, the Middle East or anywhere else are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical side of electrical rolling stock engineering projects
- Review engineering designs, overhaul documents and technical submissions
- Work with contractors, project managers and technical specialists to coordinate engineering activities
- Make sure electrical engineering requirements are met at every stage of project delivery
- Help deliver fleet modification, refurbishment and reliability improvement programs
- Carry out engineering inspections, testing, commissioning and acceptance
- Write engineering specifications, scopes of work, procedures and technical reports
- Look into equipment faults and come up with practical engineering fixes
- Keep track of engineering quality, compliance and project performance
- Partner with maintenance teams, suppliers and operational stakeholders, and back continuous improvement that lifts safety and asset reliability
- Explain complex technical information clearly to all kinds of stakeholders
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Extensive experience in rail vehicle or rolling stock electrical engineering
- Strong knowledge of upgrades, overhaul programs and electrical system modifications
- Experience leading testing, commissioning and engineering investigations
- Able to prepare technical documentation, engineering specifications and scopes of work
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, plus strong communication and stakeholder management
- A current unrestricted driver's licence
