Are you calm, careful and someone people can trust? Dependable Security Officers are needed for a sensitive, high-security role in Queensland, Australia. If you have worked in security back home in the Philippines or abroad, the professionalism you built there matters here.
Recruitment makes sure each person's identity, credentials and suitability can be properly assessed for a security-sensitive setting. You will help keep operations secure, protect people and assets, control access and respond to concerns. A qualification alone is not enough: sound judgement, discretion and a strong sense of responsibility count just as much.
Sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates who meet the employment, visa and security requirements. Those without the needed clearance may be supported through the process, subject to eligibility and conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage access to secure facilities so that only authorised people get in
- Do regular patrols and stay alert to activity across the site, acting on anything suspicious
- Respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies
- Be a professional yet approachable security presence, communicating well with authorised personnel, contractors and visitors
- Apply security procedures and site protocols consistently
- Use good judgement when handling incidents and escalating concerns
- Keep accurate reports, logs and other security records
- Treat sensitive information with strict confidentiality
- Help keep the workplace secure, respectful and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hold a current QLD Security Licence
- Australian Citizenship may be required for security clearance eligibility
- A current security clearance is advantageous
- Willing and eligible to undergo the required security clearance process
- Able to meet the applicable identity, credential and background verification requirements
- High standards of integrity, honesty and accountability
- Strong communication skills plus close attention to detail and situational awareness
- Calm and professional under pressure, and able to follow strict security and operational procedures
- Previous experience in security or another sensitive operational environment is desirable
- Meet the relevant eligibility requirements for sponsorship where applicable
