Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial roofing systems from start to finish, including metal roofing and cladding
- Fit wall cladding, flashings and other roofing parts
- Read plans, drawings and project specifications and work from them
- Measure, cut and place roofing materials accurately
- Work safely at height, using hand tools, power tools and roofing equipment the right way
- Help prepare and move roofing materials around the site
- Keep your work area clean, safe and tidy, and follow all safety and site procedures
- Keep workmanship to a high standard on every project, and tell your supervisor about any installation or workmanship problems you notice
- Work together with supervisors and other trades on busy construction sites
- Back up the crew with general roofing and cladding work whenever needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Professional roofing experience you can demonstrate, including work on commercial or industrial construction projects
- Proven metal roofing experience is preferred
- Practical know-how in roofing and cladding installation methods
- Able to work safely and confidently at heights
- Able to read and follow construction plans and specifications
- Good knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
- Confident using standard roofing tools and equipment
- Reliable, punctual and committed, and able to communicate and cooperate well with site teams
- A relevant roofing trade qualification is highly regarded
- A current driver's licence is preferred
- Able to share photos, portfolio examples or other evidence of past roofing work, plus employment or trade history that supports the experience you claim
- Willing to relocate and work in South Australia for the role
