Key Responsibilities
- Look after the floor during service, from bookings and seating to working with the kitchen
- Keep service standards high and gently coach the team during shifts
- Help guests choose wines and pair them with their meals
- Train your teammates on the wine list
- Close the restaurant properly, with cash-up and daily checklists done
- Learn rostering, training, stock and ordering as you prepare for management
- Remember familiar faces by name and give new guests every reason to return
Requirements & Eligibility
- Ideally 2+ years of experience as a supervisor or senior floor staff in a busy, quality restaurant
- Solid wine knowledge, comfortable chatting about styles, regions and food pairings, and happy to keep learning
- A clear picture of great service and the habit of keeping that standard on a big night
- Current Queensland RSA, plus RMLV or willingness to complete it on the way to management
- Free to work a seven-day roster including nights, weekends and public holidays, and holding full Australian working rights
