Key Responsibilities
- Assess residents clinically and respond with care when their health or wellbeing changes.
- Partner with residents and families to create, carry out and review person-centred care plans.
- Give medications and clinical treatments that meet professional standards.
- Be a leader and mentor for the care staff, offering guidance day to day.
- Work hand in hand with GPs, allied health professionals and external providers.
- Keep clinical documentation and reports accurate and timely, including for AN-ACC assessments.
- Follow the Aged Care Quality Standards, policies and best practice.
- Join infection prevention, risk management and quality improvement efforts.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- 2+ years' experience as an RN in an aged care setting (or equivalent)
- Strong skills in clinical assessment
- Strong skills in coordinating care
- Ability to guide staff with wound and diabetes management
- Sound understanding of medication systems
- Excellent at communication, teamwork and problem-solving
