Key Responsibilities
- Care for residents with nursing that fits each person
- Give out medications safely
- Keep an eye on residents' health and wellbeing
- Write and follow individualised care plans, and review them when needs change
- Guide and encourage the care staff working with you
- Write accurate clinical notes and records
- Speak kindly and clearly with residents, their families and other health workers
- Follow the Aged Care Quality Standards and the home's clinical policies
- Help with quality improvement projects and clinical reviews
- Act fast when a resident's condition changes or an emergency happens
- Keep learning through continuing professional development
Requirements & Eligibility
- Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration
- At least six months' experience working as an RN in aged care
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills, with intermediate computer skills for clinical documentation systems
- Knowledge of AN-ACC funding and the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance
- Current National Criminal History Check
- Valid Queensland driver's licence
