You would join a not-for-profit provider at its residential aged care home on the New South Wales North Coast. The roster mixes morning, afternoon and night shifts, and you would answer to the Care Manager. Initial 482 sponsorship is available, with pathways to permanent residency for eligible applicants.
The heart of the job is caring well and leading well. You look after residents' clinical needs, take charge of the shift, mentor the carers around you, and build warm, trusting bonds with residents and their loved ones.

Key Responsibilities
- Care for residents clinically, in line with best-practice nursing standards
- Take charge of the shift
- Coach, supervise and give guidance to the personal care team
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their loved ones
- Help create a safe, positive and inclusive home for residents and co-workers
- Use your clinical judgement when a resident's needs change
- Work within the clinical, safety and organisational policies and procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration and a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, ideally with aged care among it
- Knowledge of aged care legislation and the Aged Care Quality Standards, plus an understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
- Strong clinical insight into how ageing affects health, including age-related conditions
- Confidence to coach, mentor and support care staff, with strong communication, conflict-resolution and emotional-intelligence skills
- A positive, collaborative attitude and competent IT skills
