Small-town aged care has a rhythm many Filipino nurses will recognise, where you learn every resident's name and story. A not-for-profit care organisation is offering casual Registered Nurse work at a home like that, in a country town north of Albury, New South Wales.
Being casual, the hours come as shifts on different days instead of a fixed roster. While on duty you would attend to the clinical needs of senior residents, be patient and steady with those who have dementia, and work out what to do when something is not right.
Fresh post-graduates are encouraged to apply alongside seasoned nurses, and the organisation has said visa sponsorship will be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, full and unrestricted
- Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Post-graduate applications are welcome
- Affinity and experience working with residents with dementia, or a willingness to gain experience
- Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills, shown as an excellent, highly motivated team player
- Availability to take various shifts across various days
- Vaccinated in keeping with the organisation's immunisation policy, including a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza
- Willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Check and a pre-employment medical assessment
