If you love the outdoors and enjoy seeing things grow, this Auckland opening could be a good fit. An employer that manages green spaces is hiring two people as Planting and Aftercare Team Member until 27 March 2027.
Your days would be spent caring for newly planted trees in the city's parks, reserves and streets, mostly by watering, checking their condition and helping with mulching and weeding.
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours weekly. The company is accredited to sponsor workers on New Zealand's Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).

Key Responsibilities
- Keep newly planted trees and plants well watered all over Auckland
- Drive and work the watering truck, tanks, pumps and hoses
- Note and report trees that look stressed, damaged, vandalised or have died
- Join in planting, mulching, weed control and aftercare
- Do daily checks of the vehicle and equipment
- Fill in watering records and timesheets carefully
- Leave work areas clean and safe, following health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
Requirements & Eligibility
- Full Class 1 New Zealand driver licence (an advantage if you also hold Class 2)
- Very good physical fitness; you do not mind outdoor work in all weather
- Experience in landscaping, horticulture, tree planting, parks maintenance, vegetation management or outdoor labouring is preferred
- Puts health and safety first
- Reliable, with a positive attitude and good communication skills for solo and team work
- Ready to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test and a Ministry of Justice check
