As you show what you can do, there is room to take on bigger responsibilities, grow into senior crew positions and work towards leading teams and projects. Key Responsibilities
- Help out with piling and foundation work on construction sites
- Lend a hand with concreting and steel fixing jobs
- Help run construction machinery safely
- Learn how things are built through hands-on training under supervision, and keep growing your skills with every day on site
- Work side by side with supervisors and experienced crew members
- Follow site instructions as well as safety and quality requirements
- Get tools and equipment ready each day and keep them in good condition, along with a clean, tidy and safe work area
- Show up reliably and give steady effort every day
- Take on more duties as your skills grow, working towards senior crew and team leader roles
Requirements & Eligibility
- Physically able to handle manual construction work
- Dependable, with a commitment to turning up regularly
- Keen to learn new construction skills from experienced workers and to join in workplace training
- Able to understand and follow instructions at work, and to work well as part of a construction team
- Previous labouring or construction work is beneficial but not essential
- Experience in concreting, steel fixing, piling or machinery is advantageous
- Able to show genuine proof of past employment or relevant experience where applicable
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Sponsorship may be considered for suitable candidates
