Key Responsibilities
- Do routine servicing and maintenance on vehicles
- Inspect vehicles, run diagnostic tests and find mechanical faults
- Fix brakes and suspension
- Handle engine repairs and replace components
- Replace timing belts and do the related mechanical work
- Use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment safely and well
- Work out what repairs are needed and finish each job to a professional standard
- Follow workplace health, safety and workshop procedures, and keep your work area clean, organised and safe
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant automotive trade qualification is preferred
- Proven work experience in an automotive workshop
- Hands-on experience doing servicing and mechanical repairs
- Practical skills in diagnostics and fault finding, plus strong mechanical problem-solving
- Good knowledge of engine, brake and suspension systems
- Reliable, responsible and careful with the details
- Able to work on your own and as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence
- Able to provide verifiable proof of your qualifications and work experience
- Must meet the applicable sponsorship and employment requirements
