Mechanical / HVAC Site Manager

Have you delivered big HVAC and mechanical projects in Australia, New Zealand or the UK? This Site Manager role in Western Australia is ideal for experienced professionals with that background and a proven record on large-scale construction work.
You will oversee site delivery of substantial D&C HVAC packages and work hand in hand with project teams so that every job finishes safely, on time and to a high standard.
The projects cover major healthcare, defence, government, education, aviation, hospitality, data centre and commercial developments. Please read the experience requirements carefully, as they are specific about where your experience was gained.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the full day-to-day delivery of HVAC installation work on site
- Lead the mechanical trades and subcontractors and keep them coordinated
- Keep the works moving according to the agreed construction programmes
- Watch installation quality closely and fix issues when needed
- Uphold high safety and compliance standards
- Read and interpret HVAC drawings, specifications and technical requirements
- Work closely with Project Managers, engineering teams, builders, consultants and other project stakeholders
- Solve construction, installation and technical problems, and help with variations and project changes
- Coordinate labour, materials and site resources effectively
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 4 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical construction, gained in Australia, New Zealand or the UK
- Has worked on large commercial HVAC or mechanical services projects
- Tier 1 construction experience is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and how they are installed
- Can read technical drawings and specifications and apply them on the job
- A relevant trade or engineering qualification, or extensive industry experience
- Proven ability to manage teams and subcontractors
- Excellent skills in communication and managing stakeholders
