Kabayan, if you have spent years behind a sushi counter, whether at home or on an overseas contract, this Perth role could be your next step. A Japanese izakaya-style restaurant and bar in Western Australia is looking for a full-time Chef and Cook with real Japanese and sushi experience.
The restaurant now operates from a new venue inside a large shopping centre, and its team keeps growing. Service is busy, the menu mixes Japanese and fusion dishes, and you would help with menu ideas and quality control. The position is salaried, with split hours of 11:30 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sushi and cook Japanese and fusion meals for lunch and dinner guests

Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 1 year of experience gained in a Japanese restaurant
- Work experience as a sushi chef, an all-rounder chef or a cook
- Strong knowledge of Japanese dishes and fusion cuisine
- Experience in high-end and high-volume restaurants, and the ability to assist with menu development and quality control
- Responsible attitude, with excellent teamwork and communication skills
