Your days will be spent servicing, repairing and diagnosing heavy vehicles as part of a professional team. Mechanics from the Philippines and from many other countries are welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities
- Find faults using modern diagnostic equipment and technology, then inspect and test each vehicle so problems are pinpointed accurately and efficiently
- Do general servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on heavy trucks and commercial vehicles
- Fix mechanical and electrical problems to the standard set by the manufacturer and the industry
- Take pride in quality work, finish every repair safely and follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Team up with fellow technicians, service advisors and the parts department
- Be helpful and professional whenever you deal with customers
- Keep service records and workshop paperwork accurate
- Keep learning about new vehicle technology through ongoing training
- Help the workshop run efficiently and reach its service targets
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant automotive qualification, preferably as a qualified Diesel Mechanic
- Proven hands-on experience repairing heavy vehicles or trucks
- Franchise truck dealership experience is preferred but not essential
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and the skill to diagnose and repair complex vehicle problems
- A commitment to accuracy, efficiency and quality workmanship
- Real passion for trucks and the heavy vehicle industry
- Comfortable working on your own and as part of a professional team
- A truck licence or forklift licence is advantageous
