This is a hands-on technical role. You will work on heavy trucks, trailers and commercial vehicles, doing a mix of servicing, repairs, diagnostics, maintenance and warranty work. If you enjoy figuring out complex vehicle problems, you will feel at home here.

Key Responsibilities
- Service heavy diesel vehicles on a routine basis
- Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance on trucks, trailers and other heavy vehicles
- Track down complex mechanical faults, as well as electrical and electronic ones
- Use the workshop's diagnostic tools and equipment
- Work out what caused each fault and recommend the right repair
- Fix or replace mechanical and electrical parts
- Do preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Handle warranty repairs when needed
- Test vehicles and equipment once repairs are done, making sure the work meets technical standards
- Keep accurate records of the jobs you finish
- Follow safety procedures and workshop rules, and keep the workshop very clean
- Back up your workshop teammates when they need help
- Join technical training programs
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- At least 5 years of hands-on heavy diesel mechanical experience
- Experience servicing and repairing trucks and heavy vehicles, with previous truck and trailer repair experience highly regarded
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, plus a strong understanding of heavy vehicle mechanical systems
- Experience on multiple heavy vehicle brands is desirable
- Able to work on your own and as part of a team
- A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Strong safety awareness
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- HC Licence is desirable
- Automotive Air Conditioning Licence is desirable
- Suitable applicants may be eligible for visa sponsorship
