Head Chef

Visa sponsorship

Hospitality · Sydney, NSW, Australia · Full-Time · Discussed at interview · Visa: Employer sponsored

If you have led a Japanese kitchen, here is a rare chance to help open a brand-new luxury Modern Japanese fine-dining restaurant in the Sydney CBD. It is an expression of interest for now, with the opening planned for mid 2027 in a prestigious new development.

You would work side by side with the Executive Chef, a fourth-generation Japanese chef from Osaka, guiding the whole brigade through sushi, robata, omakase, à la carte and private dining. The group behind it has several award-winning restaurants and cares a lot about how people are treated: they want a leader who is confident but humble, gives every team member dignity and respect, and never allows bullying in the kitchen. It is also good to know that visa sponsorship is considered for exceptional international candidates.
