Key Responsibilities
- Chat with each client to understand what they want, then suggest hairstyles, colours or grooming options that suit them
- Offer professional cutting, colouring, styling and grooming services
- Do women’s cuts, colour and styling where needed, plus men’s cuts, fades, beard grooming and barbering
- Give great customer service so clients leave happy
- Keep your tools, equipment and station clean, hygienic and well maintained
- Use salon products and equipment safely and properly
- Keep up with the latest hairdressing and barbering trends and techniques
- Grow your skills across both hairdressing and barbering
- Be a supportive team member and help keep the salon positive, professional and client-focused
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven professional experience as a Hairdresser or Barber, with strong practical skills in either women’s hairdressing or men’s barbering
- Skills in both areas will be highly regarded
- Experience with the cutting, styling, colouring, fades or grooming services that match your speciality
- Strong communication and client service skills, with a professional attitude and attention to detail
- Willing to learn and broaden your skills across different areas of the industry
- Can work independently while contributing effectively to a team
- Relevant industry qualifications or recognised training will be an advantage
- Able to provide information and documents to support verification of your experience and identity where required; if you are seeking sponsorship, you must meet relevant employer and visa eligibility requirements
