Your salon skills have brought you this far, so why not let them open the next door? A professional salon team in Queensland is looking for a Senior Hairdresser with solid technical ability, confidence in client consultations and real hands-on experience.
This suits a stylist who can deliver quality work independently while continuing to grow within a recognised salon network. Hours are flexible at the start, with the potential to move into full-time employment.
Salon experience gained abroad or back home in the Philippines counts too, as long as it is genuine and can be shown.
Key Responsibilities
- Talk with each client to understand the style, colour and overall look they prefer, and check their hair condition before recommending suitable styling and colour
- Cut, style and colour hair to a professional standard
- Use contemporary colouring techniques with careful attention to detail
- Produce consistent, high-quality results across all kinds of hair services
- Build good relationships with clients and keep them happy with every visit
- Present yourself well and uphold salon professionalism at all times
- Work as part of a team of experienced salon professionals and join in salon training and skills development
- Keep up with current hair trends, techniques and industry practices
- Help keep the salon organised, clean and welcoming
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years working professionally as a qualified hairdresser
- A relevant hairdressing qualification or recognised industry training
- Proven hands-on salon experience you can verify with appropriate employment evidence, and a consistent professional work history you can demonstrate
- Strong practical skills in cutting, styling and modern colouring
- Confidence in running professional client consultations, with strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and approachable, with a commitment to delivering quality work
- Willing to take on ongoing training and professional development
- Able to commit to at least 5 months or longer
- Flexible availability, with the potential to move from part-time to full-time
- Employer sponsorship may be considered for eligible candidates
