Key Responsibilities
- Offer professional cuts, styling and other hairdressing services
- Do colour work and other suitable salon treatments
- Talk with each client about the look they want and their hair needs, then recommend what suits them best
- Keep your technical work at a high standard
- Give every client friendly, consistent and personal service
- Stick to the salon's professional procedures and service standards
- Keep learning the latest techniques, products and trends, and join in training and education sessions
- Be a good team player with the rest of the salon
- Help out with creative projects, photoshoots and fashion-related events
- Look professional and help keep the salon looking its best
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Hairdressing or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Proven professional experience in hairdressing
- Hands-on experience working as a Hairdresser, Stylist and/or Colourist
- Real technical skills you can show in practice, plus up-to-date knowledge of contemporary hairdressing and colouring techniques
- Good communication and client consultation skills
- A professional attitude that puts customers first
- Able to work efficiently when the salon is busy
- A positive outlook and a willingness to keep learning
- Able to provide evidence of your qualifications and employment history; relevant experience must be verifiable through appropriate employment documentation
