General Maintenance Supervisor

Are you a handy, hands-on maintenance professional? A well-established hospitality and accommodation property in New South Wales, Australia, is looking for an experienced General Maintenance Supervisor with skills across multiple trades.
You will look after the accommodation facilities, public areas, recreational amenities, landscaped grounds and general property infrastructure, keeping everything safe, functional and welcoming for guests and staff. It is a dynamic place to work.
If you have done maintenance work in hotels, resorts or buildings back home in the Philippines or in the Middle East, your experience may be a good fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle general building repairs and preventative maintenance
- Do basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, plastering and all-round handyman jobs
- Look after guest accommodation, amenities, public facilities and recreation areas
- Keep gardens, roads, fences and landscaped areas in good shape using lawn mowers, brush cutters, tractors and other maintenance equipment
- Lend a hand with renovation, refurbishment and property improvement projects
- Inspect the facilities to spot maintenance needs, and respond quickly when management or guests request help
- Take care of pools, pumps and general property infrastructure
- Make sure all work meets Workplace Health and Safety standards
- Keep tools, equipment and maintenance records in order
- Help the property look its best and run efficiently
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience in general maintenance, building maintenance, facilities management or a similar role
- Hands-on skills across multiple trades, and the ability to find and fix maintenance issues efficiently
- Physically fit for manual work, reliable and self-motivated, and able to work on your own
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A current driver's licence, or willingness to get an Australian driver's licence
- Experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting or landscaping is highly regarded
- Holding a White Card is advantageous
- Experience operating a forklift, tractor or excavator is desirable
- Experience in hotels, resorts, caravan parks or tourism facilities is preferred
