Key Responsibilities
- Do formwork carpentry to the project's specifications
- Pour, place and finish concrete
- Fix and secure reinforcement and steel components, supporting Form, Reo, Pour and other civil construction work
- Use hand tools, power tools and site equipment safely
- Read drawings and follow what your supervisors and site management tell you
- Set up work areas, materials and equipment before starting
- Keep quality high on every task you are given
- Follow site safety procedures, keep the workplace safe and report any hazards you spot quickly
- Work well with other trades and crews, finishing your work within project timeframes
- Pitch in on other civil construction duties as the project needs
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 3 years of relevant civil construction experience
- Proven hands-on experience in your nominated construction trade, and the ability to show your previous employment and work responsibilities
- Current White Card
- Relevant trade qualifications or tickets where applicable
- Dogman, Working at Heights, Telehandler, CN, C6 or HR tickets are advantageous
- Strong understanding of safe construction practices
- Good communication and able to follow site instructions
- Able to work productively on your own or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship, with a reliable approach to attendance, responsibilities and project deadlines
- Able to work on metropolitan, regional and interstate projects
- Sponsorship available for eligible successful candidates
