Electrical Technician

Are you the technician the team calls when a machine stops working? A leading industrial operation is looking for an Electrical Technician to keep its plant reliable through preventative maintenance, careful fault-finding and repairs done on time.
This role suits someone who owns their maintenance work, feels at home in industrial settings and always puts safety first. Industrial experience gained in the Middle East or back home in the Philippines can count as part of your background.

Key Responsibilities
- Look after the electrical systems and industrial plant equipment on site
- Track down electrical faults and work out what is causing them
- Carry out electrical repairs and general maintenance work
- Handle preventative maintenance programs as well as corrective maintenance as it comes up
- Spot ways to make equipment more reliable, and help cut downtime and interruptions to production
- Team up closely with the maintenance and production crews
- Take part in continuous improvement activities
- Help come up with maintenance solutions that are efficient and cost-effective
- Follow every safety, health and environmental procedure that applies
Requirements & Eligibility
- A current Australian Electrical Licence is essential
- At least 2 years' experience in industrial, manufacturing, processing, mining or similar settings
- Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding, plus hands-on industrial maintenance experience
- A high level of awareness when it comes to safety
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision, while being a strong team player and communicator
- Your qualifications and employment history must be verifiable
- Instrumentation experience will be an advantage
- Knowing SAP will be an advantage
