Love making coffee, looking after customers and helping out in the kitchen? An established hospitality business in Ulmarra on the North Coast of NSW is hiring a Cook who can also work as a true all-rounder.
You will be expected to jump into different parts of the business, see what needs doing and get on with it without someone always watching over you. Your proven experience, reliability and skill across several hospitality areas will matter most.
The best fit is someone confident on the coffee machine, serving guests and supporting the kitchen. Bar and cooking experience will also be valued. If you have built your hospitality skills in the Philippines, on cruise ships or in the Middle East, take a look.
Key Responsibilities
- Make and serve coffee and other café drinks
- Give guests friendly, professional service and help run the café and front of house each day
- Lend a hand behind the bar when needed
- Get ingredients ready and help with food preparation
- Do kitchen hand and cooking tasks to match your experience
- Switch between service and kitchen jobs as the needs of the day change
- Keep everything clean and hygienic, following food safety and workplace rules
- Stay quick and efficient when service gets busy
- Keep in touch with your teammates and finish every task you are given reliably
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hands-on hospitality industry experience that you can demonstrate
- Strong barista and café service skills, together with strong customer service and communication
- Practical experience working as a kitchen hand or cook
- Confident working across different areas of hospitality
- Previous experience in bar service is an advantage
- Proven reliability and punctuality, with a self-motivated approach and ability to work independently
- A positive, cooperative team attitude and the ability to handle pressure during busy periods
- Willing to work flexible hospitality hours, including weekends
- Your hospitality experience must be capable of being verified
