You will be part of a supportive team in a busy, fast-paced kitchen, helping to keep food preparation, presentation, hygiene and workplace safety at a high standard. The role suits a motivated cook who takes pride in quality meals and great customer experiences.
Cooks from the Philippines and other countries, whether you are working in the Middle East or back home, are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Work hand in hand with your kitchen teammates so every service runs smoothly
- Cook, prepare and plate meals that follow the recipes and meet the kitchen's quality standards
- Serve consistent portions and present food the same way every time, to the required standard
- Check that ingredients are fresh and of good quality before you use them
- Share ideas for the menu and the daily specials
- Watch over the cooking equipment and keep it at the right operating temperature while food is being prepared
- Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP rules, as well as workplace health and safety procedures
- Keep track of stock, store food properly and help with inventory and ordering, while cutting down on waste to keep costs under control
- Keep kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas clean, helping the whole kitchen stay tidy, organised and productive
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum one year of full-time work experience as a Cook
- A Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (or an equivalent qualification) is preferred
- A strong grasp of food safety, hygiene and kitchen best practices
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality setting
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- A commitment to keeping food quality and customer service standards high
