Key Responsibilities
- Do the daily food prep the kitchen needs, after going through prep priorities with the team leader
- Run your assigned section during service
- Prepare and plate food to the same required standard every time
- Lend a hand to the rest of the kitchen when service is busy, and keep talking with your teammates throughout service
- Keep your workstation tidy and efficient
- Clean equipment and work areas as you go during the shift
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
- Bring a positive attitude to a cooperative, professional kitchen
Requirements & Eligibility
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, café or hospitality setting, with a good understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations
- Able to work efficiently when service is fast-paced
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A positive and reliable work attitude
- Open to constructive feedback and keen to improve
- Able to work on your own while still supporting the wider team
- Committed to keeping the workplace clean and food safe
- Available for early morning and daytime shifts
- You must be able to provide accurate information and documents so your identity and experience can be verified
- Candidates needing sponsorship may be considered if they meet the relevant requirements, and sponsorship may be available for the right candidate
