Concreter/Machine Operator

Are you a concrete finisher who also knows your way around heavy machinery? An established construction crew in Western Australia is searching for a Concrete Finisher/Machine Operator with real hands-on skills, a dependable work record and a safe approach on challenging job sites.
Many tradespeople from the Philippines and elsewhere have built this kind of experience on big projects in the Middle East or at home, and that background counts. You will move between different projects, so flexibility, being a good team player and steady quality in your work really matter. You should be comfortable with both concrete and construction machinery and quick to adjust when project needs shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle concrete finishing on a variety of construction jobs, preparing, levelling, smoothing and finishing surfaces to each project's specifications
- Run excavators, skid steers and other relevant construction equipment
- Lend a hand with general civil and construction tasks when required
- Adapt to changing sites, tasks and working conditions
- Be a productive member of the construction crew
- Observe site safety procedures and the required workplace standards
- Keep your workmanship consistent with close attention to detail, finishing assigned work within project timeframes
- Look after equipment and keep work areas safe and orderly
- Take part in the required medical testing as well as drug and alcohol testing
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years in relevant concrete finishing work
- Hands-on construction experience that is demonstrated and can be verified
- A WA HR Class Driver Licence
- A current Construction White Card
- Experience running excavators, skid steers or similar machinery, plus relevant machine tickets or a willingness to get them
- Able to work 12-hour day shifts on a 2:1 roster
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and meet regular drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Strong safety awareness with professional work habits
- A reliable, adaptable attitude when project requirements change
- Visa sponsorship may be considered for candidates who have verified experience and meet the relevant requirements
