A respected public practice firm in New South Wales, Australia is looking for an experienced Client Manager whose experience, qualifications and work history fit what the role needs. This firm does public practice differently. There are no traditional timesheets, and clients are on a monthly subscription model, so your focus stays on meaningful client work rather than billable hours.
You will work closely with business owners, look after an established portfolio and give practical advice on financial performance, planning, cash flow, forecasting and tax.
Key Responsibilities
- Look after an established portfolio of business clients and be a dependable, professional adviser for their ongoing needs
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with business owners
- Give practical, commercially minded business advice
- Go through financial information with clients, talk them through how their business is performing and point out opportunities, risks and areas to improve
- Help clients with business planning and strategic decisions
- Assist with managing cash flow and preparing financial forecasts
- Advise on tax and accounting matters
- Oversee accounting and taxation compliance
- Work as part of the team to deliver accurate, high-quality results for clients
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in public practice accounting
- CA or CPA qualification
- Proven experience managing and advising business clients, with strong business advisory and client relationship management skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to earn trust and credibility
- Confident working directly with business owners and key decision-makers
- Strong commercial awareness and a practical way of solving problems
- Sound knowledge of accounting and taxation compliance requirements
- A professional background and qualifications that can be verified for the employer's consideration
- Australian work experience will be highly regarded, and eligible candidates with the right experience and verified credentials may be considered for sponsorship
