Key Responsibilities
- Prepare creative, top-quality meals in a lively, fast-paced kitchen
- Team up with the Head Chef on new menu items
- Help improve the dishes already on the menu
- Finish prep and cooking tasks efficiently and to a high standard
- Keep the kitchen clean, hygienic and in good order
- Offer warm, excellent customer service and respond promptly to guest requests
- Help with stock management and ordering kitchen supplies
- Follow all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years of Chef/Cook experience in a similar hospitality setting
- Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation
- Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Strong time management and multitasking skills that hold up in a busy kitchen
- Ability to be part of a team and contribute to a positive work culture
- A passion for creating high-quality meals and making the dining experience even better
