Calling experienced Cooks and Chefs! A hospitality employer in Western Australia is looking for kitchen professionals whose proven skills, reliability and day-to-day performance really make a difference.
This is more than just filling an empty spot in the kitchen. The aim is to find people who can show genuine commercial cooking experience and who keep delivering, service after service, even when it gets busy.
Please note that current residence in Perth is essential for this role. If you have cooked in hotels or restaurants in the Middle East or back home in the Philippines before coming to Perth, that experience is worth sharing.
Key Responsibilities
- Get ingredients ready and finish the day's kitchen prep
- Cook dishes from the menu using the set recipes and standards, keeping food quality and presentation high all through service
- Juggle several cooking tasks at once when it is busiest, working efficiently in a high-volume kitchen
- Store food properly and rotate stock
- Watch how ingredients are used and cut down on waste
- Keep the kitchen clean throughout the day and follow food safety and hygiene procedures
- Talk clearly with your kitchen teammates and the service staff
- Help keep the kitchen organised and productive
- Adapt calmly and professionally when service needs change
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant experience working as a Cook or Chef, including demonstrated commercial kitchen experience
- High-volume kitchen experience is strongly preferred
- Able to work efficiently during busy services
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- A positive attitude and a dependable work ethic
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A professional approach to food preparation and customer service, and able to meet workplace and food safety requirements
- Current residence in Perth, Western Australia is essential
- Visa holders already residing in Perth are welcome to apply
- Able to demonstrate authentic and verifiable work experience, and committed to completing the required qualifying period
