If you have cooked through busy wedding seasons, here is a role worth a look, kabayan. A wedding and events venue near Wollongong, NSW is hiring a full-time Chef de Partie to join its catering team with an immediate start.
Expect European menus and large, fast services. If your OFW years were spent on hotel banquets or big functions, you already know this kind of pace.
The venue is part of a group with five wedding venues and is looking for someone who wants to stay, with growth toward Sous Chef possible across the group. For eligible candidates, sponsorship under the Subclass 482 Skills in Demand visa is available. Please include your CV and a few photos of your plating.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage your section during prep and service for weddings and events
- Support the Head Chef with menu ideas, tastings and seasonal changes
- Keep food safety in check, handle ordering and stock control, and mentor junior chefs and kitchen hands
- Go out to the group's other venues to deliver catering
Requirements & Eligibility
- 3 years' culinary experience that includes CDP work or time as a strong Demi
- Able to plate for large numbers without letting quality drop
- Food safety certification
- If not yet certified, you must be able to get it within 30 days of starting
- Drivers License required
