Calling Chefs, Cooks and Wait Staff! An established restaurant operation in Western Australia is hiring people with real hospitality backgrounds for several openings.
The team wants candidates who can show authentic work experience, practical ability and reliability, along with a good understanding of how hospitality operations run. If you are successful, you will work within structured systems, gain more experience and have the chance to grow a long-term career.
Hospitality workers from the Philippines and elsewhere who are already in Australia and meet the requirements are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook dishes to the restaurant's quality standards, keeping food quality, presentation and portions consistent
- Run your kitchen section efficiently during service
- Prep ingredients and keep prep areas and work spaces clean, safe and organised
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
- Help with deliveries, stock control and inventory
- Work hand in hand with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Guide newer or less experienced teammates when needed
- Welcome guests warmly, give professional service and help them with questions about the menu
- Take orders and serve food and drinks
- Clear, clean and reset tables, keeping the dining area welcoming and professional
- Handle payments using POS systems
- Pitch in with other restaurant tasks as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of commercial kitchen experience if you are applying for the Chef and Cook positions
- Proven experience cooking Asian cuisine (Japanese cuisine experience is not required)
- Relevant Australian qualifications are preferred
- Real, verifiable work history and the ability to show practical skills that suit the position
- Good communication skills and a team player
- A reliable, professional attitude and willingness to learn the workplace's established procedures
- Committed to building a long-term career in hospitality
- Valid Australian work rights
- Currently living in Australia
- Willing to start working first, before sponsorship is considered
- Sponsorship is available for eligible candidates, depending on verified experience, performance and business requirements
