Proud of your carpentry work? Experienced Carpenters are wanted for premium residential projects across NSW, covering new builds, renovations, structural carpentry and high-end finishing.
The employer is after tradespeople with genuine residential construction experience and a steady record of quality workmanship. You should be able to back up your skills with a clear employment history, relevant qualifications and hands-on experience.
If you built houses or did fit-out work in the Philippines, the Middle East or elsewhere, keep your employment papers ready, as that history is part of what will be looked at.
Key Responsibilities
- Do framing, structural timber work and installation
- Deliver residential carpentry to a high professional standard
- Work on both renovation and new-build carpentry jobs
- Handle detailed finishing and fit-out work
- Read construction plans and measurements, then measure, cut and install materials accurately
- Own your assigned tasks and site activities
- Work quickly but keep quality and accuracy high
- Coordinate with supervisors, builders and the other trades
- Spot and fix routine carpentry problems on site
- Keep tools and equipment in good working order
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and keep your work area clean, tidy and safe
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated professional experience working as a Carpenter
- A relevant trade qualification, or equivalent practical experience
- Genuine residential carpentry experience that can be checked and verified
- A clear employment history that shows relevant trade experience
- Able to provide supporting evidence of your employment or qualifications
- A current White Card
- A valid driver's licence
- Your own reliable transport and your own standard carpentry tools
- Strong hands-on knowledge of residential construction
- Able to read plans and follow technical instructions
- Consistent attention to quality and detail
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable attendance, professional work habits and good communication and teamwork skills
