Key Responsibilities
- Handle interior fit-outs, including putting in skirting and architraves
- Do commercial carpentry on ongoing construction projects, plus general carpentry and finishing work
- Install commercial doors and their fittings
- Lay decking and flooring to suit each project's requirements
- Measure, cut, put together and install timber and other materials accurately
- Read plans, measurements and job specs and follow them closely
- Use carpentry tools and equipment safely and well
- Keep your workmanship consistent and pay close attention to detail
- Stay safe on site, follow workplace requirements and work smoothly alongside other trades and site staff
- Travel between project sites around New South Wales when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 3 years of hands-on carpentry experience
- Proven background in commercial carpentry or relevant construction work, with practical carpentry skills you can demonstrate
- Genuine employment or trade experience that can be verified
- Your own tools for general carpentry work
- Reliable transport of your own and willingness to travel between sites
- A current White Card
- Knowledge of Australian construction practices and industry standards is desirable
- You must hold Australian work rights or meet the sponsorship requirements
- Sponsorship is available for suitable overseas candidates with verified experience and the required skills
- Working Holiday Visa holders, and Pty Ltd companies or ABN holders with appropriate insurance, are welcome to apply
