Calling all Cabinet Makers who want their skills to be properly valued! A well-established manufacturing business in Brisbane, Queensland is looking for a skilled Qualified Cabinet Maker to join its permanent production team.
You will work on custom cabinetry and joinery for residential and commercial clients, turning detailed designs into finished products made with accuracy. The role suits tradespeople with solid cabinet making experience who understand technical drawings and feel confident on modern manufacturing equipment.
If you have honed your woodworking craft in the Philippines, the Middle East or elsewhere, and you can show your qualifications and practical ability, this could be a great next move.
Key Responsibilities
- Build kitchens, laundries, wardrobes and other bespoke cabinetry and joinery to each project's specifications
- Work from technical drawings, plans and production documents
- Measure materials carefully and get them ready for production
- Run CNC routers and other automated woodworking machines, as well as panel saws, beam saws and edge banders
- Put together cabinet and joinery components with precision
- Check quality all through production so finished pieces meet the required quality and presentation standards
- Notice manufacturing problems and make the right adjustments
- Help with installation on site when needed
- Look after your tools, equipment and work area and follow workplace health and safety requirements
- Work hand in hand with the production and installation teams
- Finish assigned work efficiently without cutting corners on quality
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant Cabinet Making trade qualification, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on cabinet making experience
- Proven experience making custom cabinetry, with a background in residential and/or commercial joinery manufacturing
- Practical, hands-on experience running CNC machinery
- Able to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of how cabinets are built and of the manufacturing processes involved
- Very accurate, with close attention to detail, and able to deliver quality workmanship consistently
- Reliable, responsible and professional, and works well in a team
- Experience with premium residential or commercial joinery is advantageous
- Overseas applicants must meet the applicable Australian migration requirements
- Must be eligible for employer sponsorship where applicable
